Fish up close to the islands, grass piles, oyster bars and cuts, fresh cut mullet on a circle hook or you’re your favorite jig-head, live shrimp or favorite gulps. Cedar Key Florida Inshore Fishing Report The Redfish are still biting here in Cedar Key and they’re on fire. They seem to love the incoming tide, fresh cut mullet, shrimp, mud minnows or gulps. Fish around the oyster bars, cuts and up close to the islands. The Speckled trout are biting good too, using popping corks with jig heads with gulps or shrimp. Cedar Key Florida Inshore Fishing Report The water temperature is hot and so is the redfish bite. The bait of choice is fresh cut mullet, but shrimp, pinfish and gulps work too. The incoming tide seems best around the islands and oyster bars. The trout are biting good too, but the bite seems best in 5-7′ water. They are also out on the edge of seahorse reef. Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The Speckled Trout bite is great and they are still on the grass flats in 3 to 5′ of water and around the bars & cuts. People are using popping corks, 1/4 oz jig heads with live shrimp, gulps and assassin soft baits. The Spanish Mackerel are in close too as well as many kinds of sharks.
