The Largemouth Bite On The Ocklawaha River Has Been Outstanding Lately

This Slick Charters Customers Is All Smiles

May 16, 2019

The Largemouth bite on the Ocklawaha River has been outstanding lately, especially in the early morning hours. From the upper parts of the River near Ocala, to the Rodman Reservoir at Orange Springs, the bass bite has been on fire over the past few months. Early morning has been the best of it. For the first 2 to 3 hours the number of bites all depends on how fast you can get your bait in the water! I expect the window of opportunity will ebb with the fast approaching summer months, so get them while the getting is good. My […]

I’ve been having good scouting trips. The Sheepshead 10 miles out are starting to bite real good and we’ve also caught some nice Gag Grouper but they’re out of season so we released them. We know where they are, so we’ll be back. This warmer weather should turn the fish on. The fishing as you can see is good, but the water is 57 degrees now and if this warm up continues it will rise over 70 degrees and that’s when the Speckled Trout and Redfish will be even more active. Till next time “Safe boating n tight lines”Captain John […]

January 31, 2019

You Got To Woman & Man Up To Get Them Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The weather this month has not been too friendly, but we and others have been out when possible. The Redfish have been best in the back marsh since colder and lower water […]
