Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The hot weather and warm water have turned the Redfish and Triple Tail on. The Triple Tail are around floating debris, poles, and lease pods, using shrimp on a 3/0 hook, toss it out in front of them and they will whack it. The Redfish are as usual, around the oyster bars, cuts and up close to the islands, use a knocker rig or a jig head, with shrimp, finger mullet or cut mullet. Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The Speckled Trout bite is slowing down a bit, they seem to be more in the deeper grass flats, out by seahorse reef grassy area and around the bars and cuts. Use popping corks and a longer leader with shrimp and your favorite plastic baits and gulp baits. The Redfish have been biting good around the islands, bars and cuts, they love cut mullet, shrimp, live baits and gulp baits. Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report It’s Time To Start Fishing. March had up and down temperatures so the fish we’re a little confused but the fish bite has been good and is getting a lot better. The Speckled Trout are back on the flats and fishing in 3 ½ to 4 ½ feet of water seems best, but fish the cuts and drop offs too.
