Dad and son with an awesome redfish

Cedar Key Florida Inshore Fishing Report
With the colder weather in Cedar Key the fish bite is up and down. The redfish are starting to move in the back marsh and creeks with a high tide at about 2 pm the bars with the warming of the sun and we have been catching them then. The trout are biting good on the flats, cuts and around the islands, using popping corks and just a jig head with shrimp, gulps or favorite soft baits. Work it slow bouncing it off the bottom. And the sheepshead are biting to around the docks and rock piles.

Cedar Key Florida Offshore Fishing Report
The gags are biting good but the season closes at the end of the month and we’re are catching them from 25’ to 60’ of water. The red grouper are still small but they are making a good come back. The red snapper are big and biting in 50’ to 75’ of water but you must release them. Amberjacks open up in January until the 27th and the sea bass and grunts are hungry.
