The Largemouth Bass bite on the Ocklawaha River has finally returned to normal. After several months of adverse conditions caused mostly by Hurricane Irma, fishing in general has bounced back to where it should be. Over the past few months extreme high water levels, as well as flow, have made it next to impossible to fish the River.
Finally the River has settled back into it’s banks, and the Bass bite is better than ever. Typically these adverse conditions will in the long run help the fishing. Some of our best seasons have come on the heels of unusually high water levels. It’s just Mother Nature making some adjustments.
Until next time, see you on the River!
