Cedar Key Florida Inshore Fishing Report The water temperature is hot and so is the redfish bite. The bait of choice is fresh cut mullet, but shrimp, pinfish and gulps work too. The incoming tide seems best around the islands and oyster bars. The trout are biting good too, but the bite seems best in 5-7′ water. They are also out on the edge of seahorse reef. Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The Speckled Trout bite is great and they are still on the grass flats in 3 to 5′ of water and around the bars & cuts. People are using popping corks, 1/4 oz jig heads with live shrimp, gulps and assassin soft baits. The Spanish Mackerel are in close too as well as many kinds of sharks. Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The waters are warming up and hopefully the wind has calmed down. The speckled trout and redfish have been biting good on live shrimp, gulps and assassin baits. The grass flats all around Cedar Key are producing and the islands and oyster bars are producing reds too. The sharks are plentiful, we have had some tarpon and triple tail action too. Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The fishing action is awesome right now. The redfish are on the sand bars and islands, and they always love mullet but shrimp or gulps work too. The trout are biting and are on fire and the Spanish Mackerel have showed up. The bait pods have returned as well and we’ve spotted 2 Cobia but didn’t catch them.
