Bass fishing on the Ocklawaha River near Ocala has been outstanding over the past few months, and continues to improve as we move into our first spawn of the year.
The majority of Largemouth recently caught have been over 3 lbs., with multiple fish over 6 lbs. on just about every trip. This is by far the best time of year to target that Trophy Largemouth.
Expect the bite to slow a bit sometime in February while the fish go on the bed.
