cedar key fishing guideInshore Fishing Report
The Redfish and Speckle Trout are on fire and are large in size. Fishing around all of our islands and 4 to 6 ft grassy flats, using popping corks and live shrimp, mud minnows or frozen finger mullet has produced results.
The Sheepshead are super plentiful around the docks as well and we’re catching some Spanish Mackerel too.

Offshore Fishing Report
Near shore rocky areas, in the Kingfish hole and 10-3 hole are producing good size Sea Bass, and some gag grouper, which you have to release unharmed. We noticed some bait pods showing up as well which is a good sign that it won’t be long before the Spanish and Kingfish show up, there are Cobia will be here too. We are having good luck with larger red grouper in 60 to 75 ft of water but they can be caught in 40 to 50 as well, just a lot more shorts to weed through.

So now’s the time to come on down to Cedar Key and get em

Till next time, tight lines & safe boating
