The Largemouth bass bite on the Ocklawaha River has been very good lately. Big numbers of keeper-sized Bass, along with the occasional wall hanger has been the rule over the past month or so.
Additionally, the bite window has been exceptional for this time of year. Typically you could set your watch by the morning bite on the River. From first light until 10 a.m. the action is non-stop. After that it’s like someone threw a switch and the bite is over. On our last few trips we have witnessed the action last until almost noon. Go figure!. That’s fishing, and you got to love it!
Remember it’s good to practice catch and release whenever possible, thank you and ….
