The Largemouth bite on the Ocklawaha River has remained good over the past month, Although I expect our prolonged summer like temperatures to delay our next spawning cycle.
On our last few trips we’ve caught good numbers of keeper sized fish, 2 to 3 lbs., but only a couple over 5 lbs. Expect the size and number of fish caught to increase shortly after the cooler weather arrives.
The pre-spawn bite is just around the corner, so make your reservations now for that once in a lifetime Largemouth.
