The Bass continue to bite on the Ocklawaha River near Ocala, although I expect our recent cold fronts to slow them down a bit. Looks like we’re in for a very early bedding cycle this year. Lot’s of yearling, or buck bass, schooling up both early and late in the day. A sure sign the Largemouths are getting ready to spawn.
Speaking of bedding Bass, this is the most important time of year to practice catch and release. Every time we release a fish, it protects the future of fishing for ourselves and generations to come.
