It seems a little late to me, but I think fall is finally here. Morning air temps in the 60’s all week are one sign. Speckled Trout and Redfish in the rock grass is another. Sand Trout and Spanish Mackerel on the flats around sandbars is another.
The water is clearing albeit slowly. You can now see spotty bottom. The south of Steinhatchee is slower to clear but the winds from the north and east will help it clean up.
We are having great Trout fishing now and anticipate it getting better. Redfish have showed for me the last couple days on the flats and rock grass where I’m Trout fishing, not in big numbers, but I look for that to get better.
