The fall Bass bite on the Ocklawaha River near Ocala has been, in a word, awesome!
Typically it’s late October before we expect to see big numbers of Largemouths over 5 lbs., but for whatever reason we’ve had a early fall bite for the record books.
Consecutive trips with Bass over 9 lbs. have been the rule rather than the exception. Lots of fish over 5 lbs. and very few under the 14 inch minimum. I can hardly wait for our first pre-spawn bite in November.
