Although the Bass fishing in general is slow this time of year, like Forest said “you just never know what you’re gonna get”. After all, it is August and we do live in Florida.
Defying all odds, my great niece, Brittany (13), on one of her first Bass fishing trips, caught an 8.5 lb. Largemouth on her second cast. I live for these moments and I’ve seen it happen on numerous occasions. The most inexperienced person on the boat gets that Bass of a lifetime while the rest are just dumbfounded over the catch.
Good for you, Brit! It couldn’t of happened to a nicer person.
Like I mentioned before the Bass fishing has slowed, although you just never know.
