Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report
The Speckled Trout bite is great and they are still on the grass flats in 3 to 5′ of water and around the bars & cuts. People are using popping corks, 1/4 oz jig heads with live shrimp, gulps and assassin soft baits. The Spanish Mackerel are in close too as well as many kinds of sharks. We have been catching Cobia around the markers and flats and many Tarpon have been spotted too. The Redfish are biting good and it’s only getting better. We also have been getting some triple tail around the buoy markers, using shrimp with small hooks and no weight, just drift it up to them.

Cedar Key Offshore Fishing Report
The Kingfish are still patrolling the coast and the Cobia have turned on pretty good too. The Spanish Mackerel are out around the reef grassy areas at about 10′. The Gag grouper and red snapper are biting and are on fire in 45 to 60 ft, and we can’t wait till Thursday June 1st to start keeping some. The Red Grouper are on the rebound, we are catching them but they are only 15 to 18″, so we look for that to get better as the months go on.
