The Largemouth Bass bite on the Ocklawaha River has been outstanding throughout February. Recently our half day trips have averaged over a dozen 2 to 5 pound Bass per angler, with the occasional 7 to 9 pound wallhanger!
I expect these numbers to decrease when the spawning fish move onto the beds. Speaking of spawning Bass, don’t forget to practice catch and release as much as possible. It’s the best way to ensure next years catch. Pictured below are some of our most recent clients doing just that.
Until next time, see you on the River!
