The Largemouth bite slowed during our most recent bedding cycle, typical for this time of year, but has started improving over the past few weeks. Most recently we’ve been catching “keeper” sized Bass, 14-18 inches with the occasional fish over 5 lbs.. Expect the size and number of fish to continue to increase over the next month or so.

The “draw down” at the Rodman Reservoir is finally over. The water level on the Ocklawaha River (from the Moss Bluff Lock and Dam to Rodman Dam) has been coming up over the past few weeks. Although the higher water level is a welcome sight on the River, it comes at a price. There are several new snags from fallen trees in several locations. Use extreme caution when boating on the Ocklawaha.

A thank you to all of our clients for you patronage, with a special thanks to the fishermen below. ‘True Sportsmen’ who all practiced catch and release during our most recent spawning cycle.

‘Til next time…see you on the Rivers!

The peace and quiet of the river, the cast of the rod, the strike, and the sound of your voice saying,

"I Got One",

ringing across the water and into the forest.
