Fishing on the Ocklawaha River has continued to be outstanding over the past month. Lots of Bass in the 4 to 6 pound range, as well as multiple fish over 7 pounds on just about every trip. Most of the Largemouths landed recently have been fat with roe. As I mentioned on the previous report, it’s the time of year when practicing catch and release is most important.
To get the most out of your trip, plan on fishing just before the cold fronts and either very early or late in the day. The links below are to Mr. Wayne Woodward and a couple of Ocklawaha River lunkers
