Slick ChartersOur last several Largemouth Bass trips have been fairly productive. Although we have not seen large numbers of fish, the one’s we’ve caught have been really nice. Lots of 5 lb.ers and very few under the legal limit, 14 inches.

Recently the invasive plants, mainly Hydrilla and Coontail Moss, have made getting fish to the boat a challenge. The Middle Ocklawaha River has been very low and slow over the past year, which has promoted the growth of these non-native water plants.

Hopefully the recent rainfall and higher water level will slow their growth. As summer approaches, look for the bite to slow especially during the mid-day hours. As usual, get there early for best results.

Til next time…see you on the Rivers!

The peace and quiet of the river, the cast of the rod, the strike, and the sound of your voice saying,

"I Got One",
