Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report
The speckled trout, redfish & black drum, are on fire. They are hitting on live shrimp, gulps, live pin fish and frozen finger mullet. The Spanish Mackerel are here as well and if you like shark fishing, they are here also, one guy caught one over 200lb!
Cedar Key Offshore Fishing Report
The bait pods are in and the king fish are hot. The red grouper are in 40 to 55 ft of water, we had 20 keepers yesterday and about 30 shorts, plus we caught some of the biggest gags I have seen in a long time and we released them unharmed. If you look for more live bottom areas you will catch less gags but they are still fun to catch. I hope to see the Cobia show up in the Cedar Key area in a week or two.
