A Cedar Key, Florida Fishing Report you like to hear
Tell the wife the yard can wait, your prehistoric instinct to fill the freezer is calling.
Just got off the phone with Don at Cedar Key Marina and he says they’re killing them in Cedar Key. He said “The fishing is great, I ain’t lying, its the best I’ve every seen it”. Even though I think I’ve heard this before, he is probably close to telling the truth.
Good reports are coming in from everywhere.
Cedar Key Fishing Guide Captain John who is out of Cedar Key Marina has trips booked for both Saturday and Sunday and has easily limited out the last few times he has gone out.
The only bad fishing was early last month due to the weather. Captain John is going out to 50 – 60 feet of water and on the 18th should be able to increase the limits with the new regs.
From the Cobia and grouper to the mackerel that are on the reef things are looking good up and down the gulf coast.
Stop by Cedar Key’s only full service marina and see Don.
He can answer your questions about fishing and boating in Cedar Key.
