North Florida’s Ocklawaha River Fishing Report From Ocala Fishing Guide Captain Nick
Recently, we fished the middle Ocklawaha River, just east of Ocala, for Largemouth Bass.
Although we didn’t load the boat, the Bass we caught were all over 4 lbs.
Lots of beds, but only a few were occupied.
Look for the next full moon and the passing cold fronts to trigger that pre-spawn bite.
Speaking of spawning fish, please practice catch and release fishing, especially during any spawning periods. It is the best way to invest in and insure that your next fishing trip is a good one!
