Recently the Bass bite on the Ocklawaha River near Ocala has been outstanding.
From August 15 through the 24th, we’ve had three consecutive half day trips that average 26 lbs. of Bass alone! Each of these charters produced Largemouth Bass over 8 lbs.. Unreal!
Roc Lariviere, visiting Ocala from Canada, caught the largest total weight with 31 lbs. of Bass.
Typically August isn’t the best month to land that wall hanger, but like they say there are exceptions to every rule. Pictured below is a few of the “exceptions”.
See you on the River!
Good Luck

This wallhanger was caught on a recon trip we made on Sunday 8/15. Belive it or not , we had never fished this spot on the Oklawaha before!
Gotta love those wild shiners.
