The Largemouth bite on the Ocklawaha River continues to be exceptional. Early morning seems to be the best time, although we’ve caught them in the late afternoon as well. Expect the bite to improve over the next few weeks, especially around the new and full moon phases.
Wild shiners, either free lined or fished under a float, are still your best bet for that fish of a lifetime.
