The Gag Grouper are biting good and are a nice size in 45 to 60 feet. We’re using live pin fish, frozen thread fins, menhaden, northern mackerel and sardines.
The Red Grouper are in the same depths but prefer deeper water and we’re using the same baits.
We are also still catching King Fish and there are plenty of bait pods in 35 to 60 ft.
I look for the larger Cobia to starting moving offshore now, we didn’t catch any this weekend but be looking for them, they’re there. Also there are always plenty of good sized Florida Snapper (aka Grunts) and Sea Bass in 30 to 50 feet.
