Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report
Folks, Cedar Key fishing is on fire. Whether you want to fish for Speckled Trout on the flats or Redfish around the islands and cuts or add Spanish Mackerel, Sharks, Triple Tail and Drum to the mix you’ll have good family fun. You gotta get out here!
Everyone is having a blast catching all these fish, they are biting like they are starving. The best baits we’ve been using, our live shrimp, gulps, mullet on popping corks. Now the Cobia are here to around channel markets and rock piles and the reef is full of bait n predators. You don’t wanna miss this action.
Cedar Key Offshore Fishing Report
Fishing offshore has been exciting as well, the Gag Grouper are on fire in 45 to 80 foot of water, the red grouper are pretty good too, but they still have been a little short in size. The Cobia are biting really good on the wrecks and rock piles, the Kingfish and Spanish Mackerel are biting pretty good too. Look for the bait pods, you can troll or free line live baits. You can always fill your cooler full of grants and Seabass, and the Red Snapper a biting on fire as well. They seem to be more plentiful in 55 to 80 foot of water if you put a chum bag out, bottom fish and use some light tackle free lining your baits in mid column, it’s a blast.
So come on down, the weather is great and the fish are hungry.
Trust God n Be Blessed
