Slick Charters Ocala FishingOver the past few months the Bass fishing has been exceptional, and I expect it to get even better as we approach our first major spawn of the season.

Although the window of opportunity has been limited to a few early morning hours each day, the bite has been very good. Yesterday, Sept. 27, we fished the heavy cover of the Ocklawaha River for just 2 hours, and wound up with 15 Largemouths from 2 to 8 pounds.

Again, this time of year you want to be fishing as early as possible. Typically by 10 a.m. the bite is over, so don’t be late. Remember…the early bird catches the fish.

Pictured below is Jason Worth of Ocala with an 8lb. lunker he caught and released on Monday, 9/27.

Till next time…See you on the Rivers!
Good Luck

Jason had to settle for this 8 lb. Bass...you should have seen the one that got away!

The peace and quiet of the river, the cast of the rod, the strike, and the sound of your voice saying,

"I Got One",

ringing across the water and into the forest.
