Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report
The speckled trout are biting great in 4 to 6 feet of water on Cedar Key’s grass flats and the cooler weather has really turned them on. We catching them with using popping corks, live shrimp or gulp baits.
The redfish are hitting great too around the sand bars and cuts, they seem to love cut mullet, live shrimp and gulp baits.
The mackerel and sharks are still here as well. There has also been some nice flounder caught too. Stop by the marina for fishing supplies and daily current fishing details.
Cedar Key Offshore Fishing Report
The gag grouper are hitting good in 30 to 50 feet of water and they love live pin fish, frozen threadfins, sardines and northern mackerel works fine too.
The king fish and Spanish mackerel are on fire in 25 to 40 feet over hard live bottom areas.
The red grouper have been tough and seem to be in 45 to 60 feet of water. The sea bass and grunts are plentiful in 30 to 45 feet as well using squid or sardines.
