In spite of some late cool weather we are in full spring swing. Speckled Trout fishing has been consistently the best ever. Right now we are catching Trout on the deep flats, jigging and shallow flats jigging or corking with cut pinfish. And some big fish, getting our over 20″ limit on a lot of days.
Redfish are another story, some days I find them and some days not. We generally have time to hunt them, as a result of great Trout fishing. But they have not been showing up consistently.
It may have some thing to do with crazy spring weather.
We have also caught some nice spring bonus fish on the flats, Flounder, and big Sea Bass,
Spanish Mackerel, seen but haven’t caught keeper size Cobia yet.
