Ocklawaha River Fishing Report
The Bass fishing on the Ocklawaha River has been outstanding over the past few months. Most recently it has been phenomenal! On one trip in early March we caught and released 12 large mouths with a total weight of well over 70 pounds. The smallest fish caught that afternoon was 4.5 pounds.
As of this week the catch has remained very consistent with several lunkers landed over 7 lbs. on each trip. Timing is everything. The pre-spawn bite is on, and now is the time to get that Bass of a lifetime.
My apologies for the lack of fishing reports. Over the last year or so there has been lot’s going on that kept us all very busy. Bet you too have been a little occupied!
Check out Wayne and Lana from Delaware with their double (caught simultaneously). Two huge Ocklawaha lunkers weighing in at 7 and 8 pounds!
Until next time, see you on the River!
