Prospectus: Ocklawaha & Rodman Reservoir Fishing Report

Our usual fishing spots on the middle Ocklawaha River have slowed, so I’ve spent the last couple of weeks fishing several different locations down river for Bass.

Gores Landing, just off of County Road 315 in the Ocala National Forest, produced the best. Had several good trips there, but no fish were over 6 lbs.

Fished the Rodman Reservoir, “Lake Ocklawaha”, Friday, but only caught a couple small Bass along with a few Pike. I caught my first 10 lb. Bass there in January of 1986, standing on the bank!

This week I plan to do some prospecting between Eureka and the Cyprus Bayou section of the River. Check next weeks report for the results.

Have A Very Merry Christmas!

This fishing report is from Captain Nick Bozman.

The peace and quiet of the river, the cast of the rod, the strike, and the sound of your voice saying,

"I Got One",

ringing across the water and into the forest.
