I don't go that often but when I've gone I've fished the discharge canal (in cold weather), the pilings at the end of the d canal and toward Rocky Cove. Also in cooler weather the Withlacoochee River.

Nick I remember videoing a fishing trip with you and Doug a few years back and watching a Pike (aka jack fish to the locals) grab a shiner in the clear water, it was cool to watch.

The size and numbers of Largemouths being caught on the Ocklawaha River is up. On our most recent trips over half the Bass caught have been over 4 lbs. Not bad for April! I’m looking forward to the post spawn bite to get even better as summer approaches. Lately the best bite has been very early, although I expect the p.m. bite to improve over the next few weeks.

The waters on the Ocklawaha River are gin clear, which makes it an ideal spot to sight fish Largemouths. There is nothing like casting to a fish, and watching it attack your bait. On more than one occasion I’ve had to remind clients to breathe while watching a huge Largemouth approach their bait. Guaranteed to get your attention.

I'm getting ready to buy a new rod and I've been looking around and was thinking about a medium rod 7'/7.5' for inshore fishing. The rod will be used for trout & redfish using some top water lures and jigs like the gulps, cajun thunder and shrimp.

Hi, need a Yankeetown fishing report and info. I want to go fishing at Yankeetown and I'm going to put in at the boat ramp at the end of ST rd 40. I know the power plant is south of the ramp but in the spring what would someone that knew the area do, go north towards the Waccassassa flats or south toward Crystal river and what areas would would they fish. PS  ;D I'm not asking for numbers unless someone wants to give them to me lol.
