Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report

The redfish are bitting and are on fire. They are hitting topwater baits, live shrimp, mudminnows, cut mullet and gulp baits. Fish around the islands and bars, incoming or outgoing tides seem to be best. The trout are tough but seem to be more in deeper water since the water temp is high, be patient, they are not super active right now. The sharks are also plentiful and fun to catch.

Cedar Key Offshore Fishing Report

The gag grouper and red grouper seem to be biting best at 45-60 feet. They are not biting like they should but we are rebounding from are bad red tide issue from last year. A few people reported some king fish are moving in and there is a lot of huge bait pods, so we look for them and the Spanish mackerel anytime now.
