Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The speckled trout in Cedar Key are biting great on the flats and bar areas and the bite seems better on the incoming tide and in the afternoon. We should almost be out of cold fronts and that means the redfish will be coming out of the creeks. Live Shrimp, mud minnows and your favorite gulps will work just fine, for now we’re still doing better with jig-heads on the bottom fishing kind of slow. The Ocklawaha River Is Having An Outstanding February

The Largemouth Bass bite on the Ocklawaha River has been outstanding throughout February. Recently our half day trips have averaged over a dozen 2 to 5 pound Bass per angler, with the occasional 7 to 9 pound wallhanger! I expect these numbers to decrease when the spawning fish move onto the beds. Speaking of spawning Bass, don’t forget to practice catch and release as much as possible.
