Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The trout have been a little finicky, but are biting in 6 to 10 feet of water over grass flats and out by the reef and fishing on the bottom, slow jigging with shrimp or gulp baits. The redfish are biting good around the islands and oyster bars, the bite seems best on incoming tide and live baits or mullet also seem to be the best.
