Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The sheepshead are biting good around the piers & docks, using shrimp or fiddler crabs. Most people are using a knocker rig with a 1/0 or 2/0 hook. The speckled trout are biting good too, but better in the afternoon in 4 to 6 ft of water on the grass flats and near the oyster bars. The redfish are more in the back marsh area’s but on the warmer afternoons they make their way out to the shallow oyster bars and up close to the islands. Bass Fishing on the Ocklawaha River Is Exceptional

Bass fishing on the Ocklawaha River has been exceptional over the past month or so, and continues to improve on each and every trip. Big numbers of fish from 3 to 5 lbs., as well as several lunkers per outing has become the rule rather than the exception over the past few weeks.
