Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The trout are biting and are on fire using live shrimp-gulps-finger mullet and live mudminnows on a popping cork with a leaded just long enough to keep it off the bottom and a 1/4 oz jig head. Bass Bite On the Ocklawaha River Remains Good

The Largemouth bite on the Ocklawaha River has remained good over the past month, Although I expect our prolonged summer like temperatures to delay our next spawning cycle. On our last few trips we’ve caught good numbers of keeper sized fish, 2 to 3 lbs., but only a couple over 5 lbs. Expect the size and number of fish caught to increase shortly after the cooler weather arrives.
