The Ocklawaha Largemouth Bass bite remains fair, although the window of opportunity is limited to two to three hours in the early a.m..(Typical for this time of year). On our most recent trips the majority of fish caught have been full of roe, weighing between four and six pounds. Catch and release is a must for these spawning periods.(A little conservation today will go a long way for our future anglers of tomorrow). Cedar Key Inshore Fishing Report The speckled trout, redfish & black drum, are on fire. They are hitting on live shrimp, gulps, live pin fish and frozen finger mullet. The Spanish Mackerel are here as well and if you like shark fishing, they are here also, one guy caught one over 200lb! Cedar key Inshore Fishing Report All of Cedar Key’s grass flats and areas close to the islands are producing nice size trout and redfish. Most anglers are using popping corks and 1/8 oz jig heads, tipped with shrimp, mud minnows or finger mullet.
