Bass fishing on the Oklawaha River has been hit and miss lately. Lots of small schooling large mouth everywhere, but the big-uns we’ve really had to work for. On the other hand, if you like Pike(Chain Pickerel), fishing the action is non stop. The best bet is to use downsized light action tackle for the schoolers (they like Rapalas Original Floating Twitch Bait). For the big-uns use wild shiners in the heavy cover and deep holes (the pike are stupid and will hit anything).
