Action Craft Looking to Move Production

Update: Action Craft News!

Update from Paul Guard 6/21/07

According to Paul Guard of Action Craft, Action Craft has restarted production. Although they are still looking to move production, Mr. Guard said that now is the time to buy an Action Craft. Too much initiative could be lost if production stopped completely and with the idle talent, supply chain, back orders and the time needed to find, supply and start a new production facility it did not make since to keep production idle.

Update: Action Craft News!

This is an Update from Paul Guard of Action Craft 6/14/07

There are all kinds of rumors going around, and we need to set the record straight. Action Craft is not out of business, and we are not going to abandon our customers in Florida.. We know it is important to keep a major presence in Florida that is why Action Craft is keeping its corporate headquarters and customer service shop in Cape Coral, and is considering setting up a location for production in South Carolina. We are still looking at our alternatives and do not have any further information at this time. However, due to economic conditions beyond our control, and a prolonged recession in the marine industry, we have temporarily stopped producing boats.

It’s sad to see a homeboy manufacturing company thinking about moving and it’s especially true when they manufacture good, fun boats, but that’s what’s happening to Action Craft of Cape Coral, Florida.
A family business, production and distribution has stopped. Action Craft is working on selling the existing facility in Florida, and planning the move of Action Craft to a new location.  Action Craft is still working on the details and doesn't yet have a date, or a location to announce.

Action Craft makes some fun Flats Boats. I’ve gone fishing on an Action Craft out of Horseshoe Beach, Florida where many locals get their definition of shallow water. The platform and the ease of maneuverability of the boat made for a fun day.

As a note, customer service is still open or you can reach Action Craft at

www.actioncraft.com (new windows, doesn't allow back up)                     Steve Jones 5/08/07
