I went to the website to see Alexis picture and was suprised that you used her in the fishing report, too!! I want to leave a comment about our experience for others to see!! I also want to let others know what a great time we had and that we will be back again, soon, for another trip and to let others know how great you were with teaching my daughter how to fish!!

Thanks, for the great experience and we will be back soon!! Michelle

Wow, 36 lbs of fish?! That's quite the fishing run. I am jealous, right now it is snowing outside where I am. I could definitely go for a good fishing trip. Spring can't come soon enough.

Hot Dawg!...hearing about those Bass in the Ocklawaha gives me much needed confirmation that the river is well and thriving not to mention probably somewhat higher with all the rain that we're beginning to get. I've been anxious to get on the water myself and see if the wife and I can't pick up a few Specks to fry up along with some grits, hush puppies and cole slaw. What better way to celebrate a day on the river than to take home a few souveniers?

How sadly true. So many fatalities that we witness could have been avoided if the right precuations had been applied. I'm an old Florida "cracker" that grew up on McGirts creek south of Jacksonville back when the water was clean and the fishing was good so you know I'm at least a half century old. I was still in my mothers arms when I first plowed those waters and she still speaks of getting caught out on the St. Johns in a lightening storm in my dad's boat and how she clung to me in a state of absolute fear so you can imagine how much emphasis was put on weather awarness as I grew up!!! My folks pounded it in to me and to this day, I take absolutely no chances with weather. I fish with one eye on the horizon and one ear to the heavens and know when it's time to get off of the water!!! you can't fish if you're six feet under folks.

Unlike the rain starved Ocklawaha, The Suwannee couldn't hold another drop as late as last week. We didn't even attempt to fish it but it was well worth the drive to go see it over at the bridge in Branford. Too bad we can't re-route some of that water. You didn't have to worry about trees falling on ya' but there were plenty of 'um already floating and headed for the gulf.
